my body is saying, “You almost overdid it with dinner tonight, but if you just chill for the rest of the night I’ll be okay. Oh, I’d also like some exercise if you could spare me. It’d be much appreciated.”

goal because it puts better into words what I want to get out of my body. Rather than being so strict and saying, “Never eat this, that, and the other,” I can say, “listen to my body. Make sure that it is fed when it tells you it is hungry. Make sure it is refreshed when it tells you it is thirsty.” Other kinds of goals have caused me to quit on them because I felt like there were restrictions being placed on me, and so I would go to the extreme and pig out on them and say, “well, tomorrow I’ll be better.” Hopefully I can be more attentive to my stomach/body and not my brain, because my brain has gotten me into a good deal of trouble, health-wise and otherwise. So here’s to listening, and ackowledging, and really paying attention to what they call My Temple.
