He didn’t like my Northern Irish accent. Didn’t think it was Irish. Ha.
At least I got to hear him say “how do you do” in a Southern Irish dialect.

Now I have been able to speak Gaelic with a native speaker, and there are a few more, at a pub in the city. I met a fellow who comes from Derry, tends bar.
Now I’d better get some sleep, or I won’t be able to learn and retain any more. Oiche maithe!
I’ve been using two programs, the one at BBC North Ireland, on Blas, and one from the maths profs at U. of Belfast. It’s going. But I need some people to practice with.
