If I go travelling for a period of time without having anyone depend on me, and not being dependent on anyone else, then I won’t be under any pressure to live out the roles that others expect of me. If I constantly change my environment, I’d bcome more aware of my habitual ways of thinking. Chance and randomness will rule my day-to-dayexistence more, and I won’t be under illusions forced onto me by my life at home. I would be really alive, I would experience “being” in the moment, and have unique, inspirational experiences. I could discover more about my place in the world, while learning and caring more about other peoples, cultures, and world issues.
