I’ve been really lazy this summer. Granted I did work a full-time week last week, and hospitality is really exhausting. But starting this week I’m going to try and get a decent amount of exercise. I mainly need variety. I have no problem going for a long walk, but I need to do more aerobic things. I’m going swimming tomorrow night, so that’s a start. I haven’t gone in like a month, I have to work it back into my weeks.

My main problem with the keeping fit thing is keeping up one sort of activity regularly. I’m going to start dance classes again next term, though. I went to one last night, and realised how very not flexible I am now. I’m starting contemporary, which I used to do, and really enjoy, so hopefully I can keep it up. Also, I’ve been swimming the last three weeks, so hopefully I’ll get back into that! I want to work up to 30 laps each time, and so far it’s only 20.
But I figure that I should try to do it for a while, and see if I can get used to it, since running is a very convenient form of excercise. I stopped going during exam period, but now that it’s holidays I have no excuse for not going!
In the spirit of being active, I played tennis yesterday evening. It was good fun, and my arm doesn’t even hurt today (though it usually does after tennis). I should make tennis playing a more regular thing.
hockey starts again, so that’ll be some form of regular exercise. I need to make myself go swimming as well, I haven;t gone in ages, but it seems the pool is never open when I want to go. AND it’s raining today, which kind of makes going outside and exercising far less appealing …
Well, I’ve been going swimming once a week (ok, maybe not every week lately), and I’m playing hockey on Sundays. Also, exam period is pretty good for my fitness, cuz I go on long walks to get out the house and away from study for a little while.
