I think this is kind of a lifelong process, so I’m just going to get crazy and call it a day on this goal.

I’ve been having them sent to my cell phone via text. I think it’s from dictionary.com; they send you their Word of the Days. It’s interesting but not necessarily incredibly useful. Also, I am more inclined to remember words that I actually look up myself from books or whatnot. Still, minimum effort AND gets the job done?? Score.
So today I’ll learn three! Good ones too.
jingoism- fanatic patriotism
ebullience- exuberant enthusiasm
lionize- glorify, assign great social importance to
I’ve decided the best approach is to learn a new word every day. Heard the word “philistine” in a song and looked it up. According to the Merriam- Webster online dictionary, it is one guided by materialism and usually disdainful of intellectual or artistic values.
Sounds like a great new goal: not to be a philistine.
