Done with week 8, today was first day of week 9. Today was slow and painful for me. My left leg turned to jello about 6 min in (what’s up with that??) and the right compensated for it for about 4 minutes until I evened out again. I always listen to the C25K podcasts to keep up on my time and while the songs are not usually my cup of tea, I muddle through them bc the timing is so helpful. Little did I know, however, that lucky lucky today was ALL Britney Spears songs. ALL of them. Now, I’m not bagging on Britney. She’s obviously very successful and I even like a couple of her songs. That being said,it was a horrible 45 min. If I had to hear ANOTHER flirty, whispering, giggling voice over intro again, I was gonna lose it. Oops, I won’t ever do that again. :S

It’s been AGES since I’ve updated this but that’s just because I’ve been so awfully busy and sadly, not much to report. Done with seven. On week 8. I should have been done with this weeks ago but I put it on the backburner with vacation and then I got really sick. But hey, back on track and the end is in sight. Yay me.
The third day (25 min straight) was the hardest by far. I started getting tired around 17 minutes but I figured I only had 8 left so I better keep going. And it worked!
The only thing that annoys me is the SPEED I run at. I feel so slow. As usual, I’m expecting too much too soon. Endurance first, speed later.
Finished week 5 and set off to start week 6 this week. Trying to run on a cruise ship was a lot harder than I thought it was going to be. Still, I’m good with starting week 6. Whatever, I have time.
So this week I have finals, a new job, and a nasty cold. I’ll start week three next week and hopefully do another couple week 2’s to get me warmed up. Are you supposed to run when you have a cold or take it easy? I just feel like sleeping :) So next week it is.
I made this huge chart on a poster board where I can check off my progress week by week, workout by workout. There were rulers involved and it was all very official. :) I hung it in the entryway between my bedroom and bathroom so I have to walk past it several times daily.
I told my family that I planned to start it up and they all encouraged me. Unfortunately things went downhill when this huge glass candle dropped on my foot and my foot is purple and bruised and tender now. Of course. Just my luck.
If it’s looking better I will officially begin this week. I unofficially began last week but I decided I’ll give week 1 another go because I only ran 2 times out of the 3 last week.
