connect with fellow Ithaca College alumni in Burlington, VT

Well who would have guessed! My new upstairs neighbor went to Ithaca College for a year!!

I met with Devon last week for coffee, and we talked for two hours straight! We might go see SiCKO together soon, too! Hooray for new friends.

Through LinkedIn, I found a fellow Parkie (‘01) working at another ad shop in town. We’ve agreed to meet for coffee, now I just need to set it up! She said someone had recently contacted her about possibly setting up a VT-IC alumni club of sorts, what good timing!!

Through facebook, found an ‘07 grad who just moved here for grad school. We’re going to meet for coffee/ice cream later this week!

Wow, this goal is going better than I expected. Three cheers for putting things in writing!

SO! Walking in from lunch today across the office complex parking lot, I was thrilled to find a car with an Ithaca College student parking permit!! I quickly came inside, wrote a note, and ran out to leave it on the car. Oddly, by the time I got out there the car was gone. I walked around a bit, and to my GREAT surprise, found A SECOND CAR with an IC parking permit!!! AHHHH!!!! So I left the note on that car, instead!

The building near the cars has a college tuition assistance-type office in it, so I can only assume that’s what they were here for? Both were ‘07 stickers, so they’re both at least one year younger than me, but I’m sure we would know some of the same people at least.

How thrilling! This has inspired me to take up the goal of connecting with Ithakids here in the Bur!!
