I haven’t pole danced since….God, I don’t know. Maybe september??? ANyway,I weigh a lot and I’ve not been working out but I still would like to be an acrobatic old lady on the pole. It’s still in my room and I want to have fun and be fucking strong. I’ll get it!

I’ve done some backsliding, but tonight at home I inverted from the pole 3 times. Once on my “off” side! SO, I’m pretty stoked about getting this down. It’s a good addition to a routine!
Tonight I did my first invert from the pole. I did a poor but acceptable High V, and I side-climbed better than ever. Still not good, but…better. YAY for me!
There was a pop quiz in class (last Thursday) and I sucked. She TRIED to make me dance to music I couldn’t stand (some techno/warehouse/disco shit, and then when I just looked at her in horror, she put something ELSE on that didn’t have a beat. It was some kind of poetry…emo thing. YUK. I totally bombed. I was irritated and nervous and, well, just “YUK!”.
Last night, however, I made my boyfriend watch me on the pole and I did some decent tricks.
Griffin, Seahorse, Sugarglider, ankle hang to bow and arrow, sitting pretty.
I’m sore today and that’s just swell by me.
I think I’ll work on High V’s and inverts from the pole. Mostly strength stuff I figure.
I think it would help if I just started dancing to ANY music while I’m playing on the pole. I’ll try not to be so damn self conscious and overthink what I’m trying to do.
Ok. Here’s what I got so far. I’m planning on performing this next October for the pole extravaganza.
1.”Well now baby”... Strut to corners of stage and dance gradually to pole
2. 30sec..”till the broad daylight”...spin, land on feet, dance around pole with spins.
3.55sec. “hey now baby”...slow climb,
4.1:26sec.. “till the broad daylight”..setup and execute ankle hang
5. aerial tricks.
6. 1:42 sec…”hey now BABY” Land and dance (short)
7.2:00sec…”do da rump”...side climb quick
8.2:11 seconds “broad daylight comes”...side knee hang!
9.2:25 seconds…angel slide down to ground with bicycle legs.
