It does occur to me that this is sort of a shifting thing: what’s important to me now isn’t necessarily going to stay important, or with the same priority.
I have a folder on my computer to save images and quotes. So I have a ‘vision folder’. I can browse that for motivation when I need to. But today I finally spent the 10-15 minutes needed to drag some things into a single view, which I can now use as my desktop, should I see fit!
Really useful tip: MS OneNote finally lived up to its usefulness promise – I just opened a ‘note’, and dragged in various images from my folder. Resize, rearrange – perfect!

I guess I’m not sure what to do next. I have a folder full of pics, and a few ‘slogans’, but do I make one huge board trying to cram in all the various aspects I want to cover, or different boards, for different areas? Is there a logical split between stuff I’m working on now, and future aspirations – or is the point to bring everything together?
Oh dear.

but definitely that this is a good idea! I have LOTS of goals, all of which need me to keep motivation, and how better than to have visual representation of my end points?!
So, step the first: what do I want to have on my vision board? I love the examples I’ve seen of very postive ‘now’ statements – I
am, I
have – this is about where I want to be, rather than the journey itself. So, something around these ideas:
- I am fit, toned, and happy with my body – exercise and food are both my friends
- I have TWO degrees! :)
- Time is my friend: I’m brilliant at balancing great productivity with proper relaxation
- I enjoy exploring my creative abilities
- I’m doing well with my ‘baby-business’ in web design
- My job is a pleasing way to spend my day, allowing me to grow my skills and a sense of achievement
... think I’ll stop there, as I’m not actively working on stuff like travel and relationships – perhaps the next board!!
Step 2: find some visual representations, I guess, and polish up those statements.
