Writing daily is the key, that’s the way to build content and get myself thinking. Just beginning is important and then it comes to me. So far so good!
Too much writing long blogs & emphasis on perfection/sounding deep… it’s just a blog!! I’m making the effort to write daily now, photos or not. The point is to get into the habit daily and then just work on the content and it will become automatic after a certain point… I’ve worried too much about finding readers/audience, getting linked and photos (and perfect posts). Instead, just crank out stuff and over time the quality will improve, I am sure of it.
On that note, a bunch of new posts since!
I think technically I’ve accomplished this. However i’m trying to make it every other day at least. So far this week I rock it. Get to the point and have good visuals and advertise my site to all!!!
Hm, maybe this is hard because the goal is so vague? Does blog more simply count as setting up a blog & posting if you never did it?
I’ve got a new job & am trying to find balance in doing it. I want to spend time during breaks/after/before work posting so that at least every other day there’s a post, but it’s difficult for 4 reasons: 1) time involved, 2) coming up with a good subject, 3) finding good photos for the post and 4) keeping my blogs at a reasonable length.
That said I’ve got a new post (http://www.copyandcredit.com) If I can get 1-2 regularly a week for about 1-2 months, then I’ll focus on making it 3-4 a month or more. One step at a time…
Once at least every 3 days is the goal this month, but hopefully every other day and then once a day eventually. My weakness is that my posts are too long and take forever to write up. I’m assuming I’ll get faster/better over time. (Though how do you mark this goal as achieved?)
That said, here’s the link for review:
I tried a blog a few months ago but it never took off the ground and here’s why – it lacked any cohesive theme or focus.
So I noticed I was always reading blogs and sites about: self-improvement, finance, and movies/entertainment.
Hm, I thought, I’ve not seen anything that addresses all three. Being a Hollywood assistant is tough and there’s nothing out there that has addressed finances while trying to break in.
And that’s when I got the idea for a more focused site.
So here’s my blog I’ve just launched which I plan to update regularly. I’d love any feedback!
