In order to stop overeating, I had to become very conscious of what was setting me up to overeat. Was I eating too infrequently? Was I stressed? Why was I stressed? Was I tired and in need of more energy? Was I anxious or worried about something? I got really in tune with what was going on to make me want to overeat. Then I tried to solve that problem instead of turning to food to make it all better.
It honestly took me a good three years of practice before I could say I was no longer tempted to eat too much. But during those 3 years, it got easier and easier.
