Update

Am making good progress on this goal. Since my last entry I have…

replaced most of the light bulbs with energy efficient ones.
bought a compost bin
bought a Mooncup (so much better!)
grown most of our own vegetables this year

Still a little room for improvement but am getting there!

So far...

I already do the following

use washable nappies and wipes
use washable or flushable liners
buy as much food as i can from the local farm shop
use my recycle bin (only got this a couple of weeks ago)
offer any unwanted items on Freecycle
feed the dog anything the children leave on their plates (although she won’t eat chilli!)

I need to

get energy efficient light bulbs
encourage the children to turn lights off!
remember to turn appliances off at the mains instead of leaving on stanby
reduce the chemicals I use in cleaning
buy less food so there is less wastage
