The end!

Super Fling Boogie month is over adn I’m pleased I did it. While I didn’t get as much done as I would have liked, it certainly concentrated my mind on getting rid of things I no longer use or want.

Will carry on trying to declutter as that is one of my other ‘things’ and am hoping my house will eventually look just a bit tidier!

Thanks everyone for taking part.

Not much boogieing..

Haven’t managed much in the last week, as have been at work and feeling generally too tired in the evenings to do anything. Did sell some stuff on Ebay though, so a few more items out of the house. I see from the Flylady site that the Super Fling is going on until the end of June, so a bit more time to sort some more stuff out.

The cupboard

I made it into the under stairs cupboard and threw out several outgrown pairs of childrens shoes, lots of old magazines and papers and an old handbag. I also found some things I’d been looking for – the raincovers to both pushchairs (thank goodness – I’ll be needing those!) and a couple more handbags that I’d fogotten about. I cleared out all the handbags of rubbish as well.

Freecycle and Ebay

I’m putting some stuff up on Ebay today that needs a new home. If it doesn’t go from there I’ll try Freecycling it, as it is too good to throw really. Failing that it will be the charity shop!

Had some of my previous Freecycle offers collected yesterday, so a small space in a kitchen cupboard was cleared.

I am going to attempt to clear the under-stairs cupboard this afternoon, but I really need to psych myself up for that one!

Quiet day yesterday

Not much flinging yesterday – some magazines and papers were the main victims. I have had replies to my offers on Freecycle, so there will be a lot of things leaving the house this week.

Did declutter the car – but only because we sold it yesterday!

Last lot for today

Have had a trawl through some more kitchen cupboards and have offered a lot of stuff up on Freecycle. Anything that doesn’t get taken will go to the charity shop. Also did a mini-fling while the children were in the bath and cleared out the bathroom cabinet and the bath toys (yuck – they get so mouldy!)

So, another carrier bag full in the bin and a box of goodies to give away.

I’ll get there slowly!

Another bag full..

Well, another full black bin bag leaves the house…
This one contained several almost empty cosmetic bottles from my dressing table that I haven’t used in ages (plus numerous pieces of packaging), empty bottles of cleaning products from under my kitchen sink (why do I put empty bottles back?), various packets and jars from the back of my spare fridge – one packet of ground coffee had a best before date of 2002! Glad I don’t drink coffee – that belonged to DH!

Feeling rather virtuous about how much I’m getting rid of, but I know there is a long way to go!

Pounds

Well, 2 black bin bags later I’ve cleared out 46lbs of clutter. One bag for the dustmen, one for the charity shop. Lots still to go…

Flinging!

Just realised today is the start of FlyLady’s Super Fling Boogie. As I am having a bit of a clear out, I thought I’d take part and see how many pounds I can clear out in the next 2 weeks.
