All my life, I’ve lived to please other people. I’m a people pleaser. Not by choice- I just AM one. But lately, I’ve noticed how UNhappy I’ve been in striving to make everyone else happy before I truly pleased myself. I’ve always been told not to be selfish- but I think this goal isn’t selfish- it’s realistic and healthy…I need to actually start putting myself first sometimes, instead of being unhappy and wearing a smiley facade.
