learn actionscript 3

OK FIRST IT’S REALLY HARD TO SAVE FIVE GRAND, SO IT’S NOW 2 GRAND – SECOND, I AM SPENDING SOME MONEY ON WEBSPACE BEFORE I DIE. I WILL POP LIKE A BALLOON IF I DO NOT DO THIS.

I’m doin’ stuff with the Guy Watson webcam motion-detection experiment. I am trying to make a flash program where one can draw a line in Flash by manipulating an object of a certain color in front of a webcam. If Grant Skinner can do it, etc. As opposed to making a website in Flash, just trying to mash out the actionscript with no graphics and just empty movie clips on the stage – even having a lot of the code done for me – is tough. I wanted to be done with this a week ago.

Apparently BitMapData is changin’ all around in as3, also… I hope whatever I learn here remains somewhat applicable.

This is going pretty well. I will have my new site up by the end of the week. I suppose I should be concurrently preparing myself for 3.0.
