join a political party

Am I mad for seriously considering the Democrats? I’m extremely disenchanted with the ALP (though I’d probably join straight away if Gillard was leader) and I like Lyn Allison. It was Meg Lees and her shitty support of the GST that turned me off the Dems but I’m reading over their policies and I like what I am reading. I’m also reluctant to join because I suspect they may be dead after the next election. Ha.

At this stage I don’t think I want to do that anymore. I have been very disheartened by a letter I received from my local member whose branch I would belong to.
