Boxes in the closet

I’ve got most of the mess down to five file boxes in the closet (and closet space is a commodity at our house), three of which are old business and tax records that I can’t throw out, one is my research for my MA that I probably should hold on to in case I need obscure information on heterotopias, and one is a huge mess of stuff, mostly house-renovation related, that really needs to be sorted. I’m scanning the bills as they come through and backing them up periodically so I can keep that mess from building up again (if you keep your old bills, purge them once a year). There’s still a foot-tall stack of papers that isn’t mine … it may find it’s own box and get shoved in the closet with the business records.
