This was originally on the itinerary for New Zealand, but the plans for that trip changed a few times due to the unpredictable weather and earthquakes so it ended up on the backburner. I would still love to actually do this someday, though.
My closest exposure to dolphins as a child was when my parents took me dolphin feeding on Tangalooma (off the coast of Queensland, Australia). In recent times, I have only had sightings, with the best of those being the ten or so minutes aboard the Doubtful Sound cruise (in Fiordland, New Zealand). A pod trailed our ship for a while and I remember wishing I could leap down in my wetsuit and join them.
