be a photographer

I just got a nikon 5700 from ebay! wish me luck that i am not being ripped off, it claims to be in working order and i has lots of extras, bag, memory card, charger/batteries, all the goods. so as long as it is in working order i finally own a descent camera! YAY!

i want to be one, i want to have gallery shows, not be a photographer as in “its my day-job”. being a photographer, i guess is a state of mine, or in my case when i actually have a good camera and a few pieces hanging in an art gallery.

i may go into a digital photograhpy masters. not sure because i would like to study something in the ecology field. ahhh. this is all so confusing.

It’s becoming more pressing then teaching. I really want to do big elaborate photo shoots, use my ablities as artist, costume designer, painter, in general: creator, and bring it all together.

I love photography, everything about it. I love the smell of the papers and chemicals, even view cameras the way some men view cars, its crazy, yes, I know, but some cameras really are beautiful, mostly because you know what they can create. I enjoy taking pictures because just like painting, you capture something from a different view, your own, that shadow’s, etc. The pictures I have posted for viewing pleasure and you may comment if you wish, are two different trees, two photos of each tree, each from a different view point.
