Sorry they’re late, and hope you enjoy them!
You’ll probably receive one more smaller batch of pictues after this one…
:-)
so he insisted on getting you a special t-shirt, Amber, which was shipped out today!
Hope you like it and can use it towards your t-shirt goal!
:-)
Glad to hear she received her postcard ~ Sprinkles hand-picked it himself! :-)
Just emailed six digital pictures of Sprinkles and his adventures with my third grade class at SCS…
Hopefully, my computer let me send them ~ I never know what kind of mood it’s going to be in. :-@
More stuff coming…
:-)
with a smile on his puppy dog face and a cheerful farewell ~
:-)
He is off to the Netherlands to visit Tangerine_Now and have more adventures than I could ever dream of having ~ ha-ha!
He was lots of fun to host and the kids and I had tons of fun with him at school! He enjoyed the zoo the most, though!
Right before he left, he visited the local library where he had his picture taken.
Takergirl, you’ll be receiving some things through the mail from Sprinkles ~ a t-shirt, a postcard, and some pictures (though they may arrive separately). Keep your eyes on your mailbox!
:-)
Friday, Sprinkles went to the SCS vs. Corner High School football game and cheered the Eagles to an “almost” victory…
In the last quarter, Corner’s awesome girl quarterback won the game for them (we had been ahead 12-0 up until that point). He had his picture taken with the dance team captain (my niece) and helped her sell cookies at her homecoming queen fund raising table. He really wanted to just eat the peanut butter cookies, but we convinced him that we really needed his help! :-)
After the game, he met my frisky cat Oreo. Oreo wanted to play with him, but it was late and time to go home and get in the bed. We had a busy day planned for Saturday!
Saturday, he joined me at the Birmingham Zoo where I volunteered my four hours this month. He helped me at the Pachyderm biofact station in front of Ricko the rhino and his exhibit. He helped me present a rhino tooth, a rhino horn, and rhino skin to the visitors and pass out elephant shaped origami, as well. He had his picture taken by Ricko, too! He also visited the spider monkeys, the giraffes, the zebras, the red river hogs, the lions, the tiger, the butterfly exhibit, and the lorikeet exhibit where he fed the lorikeets nectar. The lorikeets were more interested in checking Sprinkles out than the nectar, but I kept him safe! He also helped me check out some material for my classroom ~ North American mammal skull kits. He really wanted his picture taken with these, but was nervous around all of the skulls. I told him not to be afraid and convinced him that it was safe!
What will Sprinkles do next?!
Takergirl, do I need to mail him off at the end of this week or the end of the next week?
:-)
went to church with me and helped me teach my Sunday school class. He had a lot of fun with the children and learned alot. He sang from the hymnal (“Keep On the Firing Line”, my favorite), tried to play Brandon’s guitar and David’s drums, and he even tried to preach a little from the pulpit…
I had to make him come back down and sit quitely with me and listen to the preacher :-)
The stained glass windows in the sanctuary were his favorite. He insisted on getting a picture made in front of them.
Yesterday he went to “Eagle Fun Day” at school, where he threw darts at balloons, played ring toss, and ate hot dogs. He now declares himself an official “Eagle Fan”! :-)
Takergirl, what size t-shirt do you wear? Sprinkles wants to get you a special SCS Eagles shirt from the school store, but I told him we had to ask you first!
:-)
Today Sprinkles went to Mrs. Sloan’s art class with the third grade ~ he tried to draw cylinders, but gave up after a few tries. We were all very encouraging of his efforts! :-)
Yesterday he had a blast going to centers ~ he read in the reading hut and played dominoes. He put together puzzles and played with my basket of jungle animals.
He said he likes Thursdays the best because he gets to have fun in centers if he doesn’t have to move his clip for bad behavior (so far he’s been a good puppy)...
He even helped me with two of my 43things goals yesterday ~ we played freerice together and he called out codes to me as I put them in the computer for my free coke stuff! He’s been a big help.
He’s extremely excited about going to the zoo tomorrow ~ he can’t wait to see all of the animals.
:-)
My sis and I went shopping today, and I took Sprinkles along for the ride! He ate Chik ‘Fil A and Subway with us (some of Julie’s fries and some of my jalepeno peppers). His mouth got very hot, so I had to share my Sprite with him! :-)
He went to the bookstore, Rue21, Claire’s, and the Thrift Store (we call it the T Store), where he was begging for a pile of books. I tried to explain to him that the books he wanted were not appropriate for him and gently steered him to some that I thought he might find more interesting! :-)
We took some pictures and had lots of fun ~ tomorrow he’ll be going to church with me!
Stay tuned for the adventures of sprinkles!
Takergirl, how long do I keep him? If he can stay through next weekend, he might get to go to the zoo with me when I volunteer.
He went to work with me today and had quite a full day with my third graders! He learned all about the seven continents and colored a map, he ate ice cream in the lunch room, and he played on the see-saw with some of the K-4 kindergarteners…
He even got to experience “switching classes” and rode on Cameron’s shoulder as he headed out the door to language in Mrs. Woodard’s room!
I will try to get my crazy computer to download the pictures I took today so everyone can see his busy day…
What will Sprinkles do tomorrow?!?
:-)
