*Postcard #50 ~ Colorado!* 5 months ago

Thanks, Todd and Heavee for the postcard from Colorado with the University of Colorado at Boulder on it. I appreciate you thinking of me and my postcard goal when you’re traveling! I haven’t received one under this goal in a while, so this was a pleasant surprise!

:-)

*Postcard #49 ~ Nevada!* 7 months ago

Thanks, Nevadagirlamber, for the postcard! It was cute and funny ~ On the front was all kinds of little eyeballs in the dark, and on the back it said, “It’s a game! Can you find the crocodile, dog and cat, rabbit, beaver, tourist family, wolf, red necked resident, frog, party animal, burglar, raccoon, monster, owl, sweethearts, and twinkle-twinkle?”

I agree with you, too, “Viva La 43things!”

:-) Thanks for thinking of me and helping me out with my goal!

*Postcard #48 ~ Barcelona, Spain!* 8 months ago

Wow! I absolutely love (love, love, love) the postcard from Metafora77 from Barcelona! It is beautiful ~ makes me want to go there (another destination to add to my 43places)...

:-)

I especially love the quote from “Dead Poet’s Society”, which I have not seen or read before. It’s awesome! I’m quoting it below for all to read…

Thanks so much Metafora77 and cheers to you! :-)

“They are not that different from you, are they? Same haircuts. Full of hormones, just like you. Invincible, just like you feel. The world is their oyster. They believe they’re destined for great things, just like many of you, their eyes are full of hope, just like you. Did they wait until it was too late to make from their lives even one iota of what they were capable? Because, you see gentlemen, these boys are now fertilizing daffodils. But if you listen real close, you can hear them whisper their legacy to you. Go on, lean in. Listen, you hear it? – CARPE – hear it – Carpe, Carpe diem, seize the day, boys. Make your lives extraordinary.”

John Keating in Dead Poet’s Society

*Postcard #45 ~ Chicago!* 9 months ago

Thanks, Todd, for thinking of me and sending me a great postcard from the Chicago meetup! I love it, and it was signed by lots of 43thingers, which was cool!

:-)

*Postcard #44 ~ Canada!* 10 months ago

Thanks so much for the lovely postcard, Violeta Bridgeman! I did like it very much, and it was a nice surprise to find in my mailbox! :-)

I’ve got to get another stack of postcards, and as soon as I do, I’ll send out a thank-you postcard!

:-)

*Postcard #43 ~ Florida!* 10 months ago

Thanks again, SlayneB, for another postcard! This time a map postcard from Florida ~ I love, love, love map postcards! They are my favorite!

Hope you like the one from Tennessee that’s heading your way!

:-)

*Postcard #42 ~ Chicago, Illinois!* 10 months ago

Thanks, Boomer Anne for the great postcard from “The Windy City”! I really do hope that I get to visit your beautiful city one day. My husband recently went on a work-related trip to Chicago and enjoyed looking at the postcard that you sent me. He recognized many of the buildings and Lake Michigan (is that correct?)...

Maybe one day I’ll get to see it all, too!

:-)

Thanks again and cheers!

*Postcard #41 ~ Alberta, Canada!* 10 months ago

Thanks so much to ixyk for the awesome hand-made postcard that she sent to me from Alberta, Canada. I love it! I don’t have very many (if any) actual hand-made postcards like this one, and it is truly unique. She used a lot of different layers and titled it “Dream”. It is part of a surrealist art project that she has been working on, and it is great! It took a lot of time, effort, and thought to make the card for me, and I greatly appreciate her art.

Thanks so very much and cheers!
