We’re sitting in the Starquest Bar & Casino at the Las Vegas Hilton. Management was smart enough to recognize that 5,000 Trekkies would descend upon them over 4 days, so they had these specialty drinks for us. They weren’t very good, but the alien glass was a lot of fun.

During the A’s Fanfest today, they offered photo opportunities, and I was lucky enough to stand with Kurt Suzuki, the young Hawaiian-born starting catcher for the A’s.
This was taken at Phoenix Municipal Stadium, while the A’s were playing the Cubs. It was such a pleasant day, weather-wise.

It only snowed for a few hours. And then the snow melted quickly, all gone by the afternoon. But in the morning, my sweetie took this picture.
