Gay marriage is now legal in California.
I am going to retire this one. We still have a battle on our hands:
1) KEEPING it legal, seeing as how there is already an amendment on November’s ballot in California to outlaw gay marriage, and
2) It’s in Calif only and doesn’t extend to federal.

more than any other one I’ve got out there. That’s very encouraging. It shows that most of you support this initiative. Thank you!!!
I plan to do much more in the rest of the year to defeat the plans to bring us down in California. It’s amazing how quickly they got their petitions signed. It’s amazing how much energy they’re expending, not to mention resources, just to make sure I can’t get married.

This means I can get married now in the State of California!
This, however, also means that the federal government does not recognize any such marriage, even a civil union, as far as rights.
There’s still a fight to be fought and won.

The California State Supreme Court just overturned the gay marriage ban!
Could it be that California will become the second state where gay and lesbian residents can legally marry?
Woo hoo!!!!!!

Support those political candidates who are pro-gay marriage (meaning, not necessarily hyping the project, but leaning towards it)? Being more “out” myself? Applauding those publicly who even mention the subject in a positive way?
Yeah!!!
