Thanks to somebody on 43Things (I can’t remember who) who mentioned FitDay.com in an entry, I have posted my weight and my goal weight there. I hope to take advantage of this tool.
I’ve really ballooned, and am not fitting into my regular pants.
So I’m now going to get serious. I want to cut out or at least down on the sugar, bread, potatoes, for an extended period of time. I think the walking rate is fine, so I’ve got the exercise. It’s simply a matter of cutting down on sugar, I think.
I hadn’t thought weight loss was going well, as I’m still trying to shed that 10 pounds I gained over the summer. But my doctor looked at the numbers from a longer perspective and said she was pleased at the trend.

I’m at the lowest weight I’ve been in 3 years.
I’m aware that I have a lot of work in front of me to continue, to maintain, and to keep on the program.
even after the celebration weekend. I walked over 4 miles yesterday, and even though I was tempted by the waffles at breakfast, I went for the eggs. And tried to keep the portion control going.
So, right now, I’m 1.4 pounds away from my goal weight. I’m quite enthused and hopeful!
However, I feel that I walked a lot when in the park, and that countered some of the effects of the sugar onslaught. And I’m back on the right track now that I’m at home.
Doing pretty well at eating and exercising right now, in this space and time. Lost 18 pounds and holding for a couple of days.
You know how it goes, literally, up and down.
But at this point, I’ve lost 15 pounds. And I’m getting in the exercise, almost at a daily rate.
I just ordered a good pedometer, and I think I’ll be more aware of my activity with that.
and I’ve been there for 2 days now. Whoopee!!!
The secret: well, the secret is that I was so out of control that coming into a little control found me at weight loss.
I think it’ll start getting harder from here on out.
I already had my 1/3 cup of All Bran Buds, with half a peach on top. And I have a walk scheduled with a friend for later. And tomorrow, I will check in with the health coach.
