This has little to do with my diabetes issue, but it does have to do with my general health. Sweetie went out and found me a massage therapist, someone I would be sympatico with who offers deep-tissue massage. And a system which allows me to book online.
I had my first session today. We talked about baseball. Wow.
(Of course, I had to ice my back this afternoon. My muscles are still hurting.)
My health worker is quite aggressive about these lab tests: I give blood to the lab worker every 3 months, and then about 2 weeks after that I go in and get it all explained to me.
I’ve never kept on top of these numbers so well, an accomplishment due to my entire team. Wow.
I went to the doctor today, and although today’s glucose number wasn’t fantastic, the A1C number was: 6.4. Anything below 7 is great, with a target of 6.5. The A1C measures the average glucose level of the past 3 months.

but writing about health issues is helping me control my diabetes.
It’s officially a cancer blog, but I’m using it as an all-purpose health blog. And I’ve found that writing about certain issues I wonder about, and then research, helps me with my overall health. I exercise more, I’m watching what I eat, I’m maintaining my prescription medication. And I’m looking for new products and then reporting on them. It’s all good.

a podiatrist. Obviously diabetes affects limbs adversely if unchecked, and a lot of that starts with the feet.
He said I was just fine. He also said, “See you next year!”
After about a month of almost uncontrolled abandon, where my glucose numbers were often above 140, I’ve been ‘way below that level for at least two weeks now. In fact, most of my numbers are around 120, if not below.
I mean, the trend is much better over the past 10 days as opposed to weeks before that.
It’s a trend I’d like to continue.
