have a cd compilation of my own songs

over the years, how can i have forgotten that music relaxes my soul, helps me get centered, focused on the task at hand? the reverberating notes ensuing from a guitar or a piano used to hold me spellbound. some of those songs have sent me running to my pen & paper so i can create my own. i have several back home, in a notebook tucked away somewhere. the songs have echoed the achings of my heart, broken from a love lost. i have shielded my heart from the pain; as a result, i have ‘forgotten’ how music can bring healing and resolution. I chose to forget the gifts given me, one of which is to give voice to my pain so that others will learn from it… now, i am just recovering and hoping, one of these days, i will find the courage to bring music back fully into my life..
