Once I really wanted to overcome the fear, everything else sort of fell into place. In addition to this, tools I used were:
-Going on flights
-Reading “Flying without Fear” before & during each flight

There’s a class for overcoming your fear of flying at my work this term, so I’m thinking of taking it. The only problem is, I’m worried that it won’t help. It couldn’t hurt, though, could it?
I just know that, in order to overcome this fear, I have to be willing to overcome it. I have to really want it. I’m not sure that I really want it. It’s all so tricky… see, I already know all of the statistical evidence that says it’s safer to fly than have a cuddly pet dog or cross the street… but I think I might prefer being hit by a car or mauled by my Django than plummet to my death with a bunch of people around me crying and bargaining with God… or even worse, just freezing to death up there, like those poor souls a few weeks ago. I mean, I just don’t know if the risk is worth it. I wish it were, but I’m not sure.
Is it?
Sigh….
