Boy, that first budget didn’t work out.. but you know what? A budget is only as good as your drive to stick to it. Apparently, I had no desire whatsoever. Back to square one for the next pay period…. sigh…

Okay, my budget was way too anal and not nearly enough fun. It’s was just plain uninspired.. and who has time for that!? I need to throw in some fun goals, like buying new furniture, to motivate myself.
I don’t have the energy to do it today, but I’m going to try to redistribute my budget before the end of the week.
So, I’ve created a super-comprehensive budget that should include any expenses that come up over the course of a month… I even included saving towards gift-giving for the holidays and car maintenance and all those things that I usually end up scratching the bottom of the barrel to pay.
Now, it’s just a matter of seeing if I can stick to this or not… Time will tell..
I need to create, and stick to, a new budget now that the wedding is done. This budget has to include savings for a new place to live (whether it’s a house or a new apartment) as well as larger purchses for a couch and a bed. It’s going to be tricky because I don’t want things to be as tight as they’ve been for the last year… but I also want to be pretty aggressive with my savings and purchases… hmm…
I will count this goal as completed once I’ve made a budget that we can successfully stick to for three months.
