I gave my dog a bath for the first time this weekend! We can’t really afford to groom him right now, so I figured this would be a nice way to spend some quality time.
Let me tell you, this dog loves the tub… even more than I do. He was so good and he looks wonderful! We both enjoyed the experience so much, that I’m going to look into how professional groomers do their thang and see if I can’t just groom him at home instead.

I bought a book for my birthday about giving dogs massages, called the Healing Touch for Dogs. I’d been thinking for a while about learning more about giving massages to pets, after hearing a lot about how it benefits the animals.
So, yesterday, I tried out some of the massage routine and Django really loved it! He got this real serious look on his face and he leaned into it and just sat there the whole time. It was really nice… he seemed to be energized at the end and he was in such a good mood. I’m going to try and memorize the whole routine and we’ll see how it works out.
You know, it’s funny, I never would have thought about massaging pets… it seems kind of cheesy… but after reading this book and hearing about it, it just makes perfect sense. What a nice treat for me and my Django!

We’ve been taking Django (that’s my dog) to his Grandma’s everyday before work so that he has company during the day. His spirits have really brightened as a result.
There’s something that you must know about Django… he goes through a massive depression every fall. We aren’t sure why, since we found him only two years ago… but it’s very sad to see. He just lays there and refuses to move. :(

My dogs name is Django and he’s adorable when he smiles. He deserves to smile everyday, no doubt! I’ve got to make it happen! A plan to follow…
