Sigh. Posting though I may copy it all and take it away later. But for now, just to record it:
46 minutes on the treadmill, 12 of them running. Total distance 3.3 miles.
Even with new sneakers and daily stretching, running hurts my shins. Beginning to wonder if I’m just not built for it and need to stick to brisk walking. I can certainly work up quite a sweat walking 4 or more mph.
Walked 1 hr. at 3.5 mph.
Breaking in new sneakers. Finally rummaged around and found the new pair I knew I had in reserve . . . somewhere . . . because yesterday my left shin hurt like hell all day and it was enough to make me actually take the effort to locate them.
90 minutes in the yard cleaning up leaf litter and soooo many sticks from all over the lawn that I’m surprised the trees have any branches left.
45 minutes. 10 minutes of it was running at 5.5 mph. 10 minutes of it was at a 3% incline. Total distance: 3.2 miles.
My left shin hurts :(
3.4 miles in 50 minutes. One running section of 10 minutes at 5.5 mph. I am such a slow runner. I have short legs :)
1 hour walk at 3 mph.
Most of the time I had a 1% incline, not to add any challenge to it, but just because it somehow feels more comfortable when it’s not entirely flat.
1 hour walk/run. Total distance: 4.1 miles. 20 of the minutes were running, the rest were walking.
Worked in the garden for about an hour, mostly to benefit my soul, which needed it so much!
Exhausted all day (weekend was emotionally and physically draining and I didn’t get home until nearly 11 p.m.) so I didn’t do my 6 a.m. treadmill thing. Instead, after dinner, I walked for an hour, slowly (3 mph). It’s better than nothing.
45 minute walk/run. Running part was 18 minutes. Total distance = 3.3 miles.
Shins are bothering me again. What else is new? I stretch and I’m trying not to push myself (running slowly, only every other day, not increasing my distance too quickly).
I guess I need to think about my running shoes and if they need to be replaced.
