Saturday, I did bit of organizing of photos.
I got a small box and put in all the extras of school portraits and so on into it. When E’s older and is asked provide pictures of his younger self for some party game or something, we’re so set!
I put all his sports team and class pictures into one jumbo envelope.
I put all the pictures people send us (as in Christmas cards and so on) in another small box.
And I made a neat stack of pictures of our family that need to be put in order and stuck in an album.
This stack ends years ago, when we all went digital, but these pictures all had been mixed in with all the other stuff I just mentioned. Now it feels like a stack of pictures I can actually approach and work with. I’m not so daunted anymore!
I’ve decided that I no longer need to feel guilty because I’m not selecting certain digital pictures to print and put in albums. Not one bit. Instead, I want to get digital picture frames, and display them that way. We’d see them way more often.
So, once I deal with 2 to 3 shoeboxes worth of pictures, it’s on to acquiring digital frames (this will take a while, since they aren’t cheap), and then the “organizing” means choosing which to load into the frames.
