Well I just freecycled about 90% of my supplies last weekend, so I’ve pretty officially put this on the back burner, at least until… I don’t know… the kids are both in school full-time? Which is five years away. I’ve kept all of my equipment, so I haven’t given up entirely, but the wax, oils, dyes… all gone.

- Being such a big girl at Chuck E. Cheese’s… showing me around (she goes there with G’s parents all the time), not needing to sit on my lap for games she was too small for the last time I took her there, not asking to be carried everywhere, going to the potty halfway through, etc. A bittersweet one, for sure.
- Saying the following, all in a tone which very clearly emulated my tone when I’m not-so-happy with her and want to talk to her about it: “Mommy! Mommmmy. Mommy. Come over here. We need to talk. I want to talk to you about something. Just for a minute. Sit down. I want to talk to you about… about… yes, let’s talk, just talk. Let’s have a little conversation about… about… CAKE.”
- Whispering secrets in my ear during cuddle time before bed. My favourites… a tie between “You are my sweet Mommy and I love you,” and “blahlahlahmahgrahlalalah.”

- A successful outing to Chuck E Cheese’s with both kids. M had no issues with H being there, taking up lap/arm space, just had fun playing.
- G home for dinner.
- Happening in upon The Children’s Place Monster Sale on its last day – 50% off all already-reduced items. Awesome! Sunglasses for $1.50, boys’ onesies for $3, etc. I stocked up, didn’t pay more than $5 for anything.
- My MIL finally said H’s name. Okay, so it didn’t make me happy, but she said it, perhaps for the first time, so I considered it a success.
- My mobywrap, couldn’t live without it.
- H sleeping away from me for 10 freakin’ minutes, long enough for me to type this and a few other things. But now he’s waking up. :)
