Go see Savion Glover

at the Fred Kavli Theater in Thousand Oaks, CA. Phenomenal dancer. Great performance and tribute to all the great tap dancers gone like Gregory Hines, Sammy Davis, Jr. etc. He danced for an hour forty-five minutes!

Five days I will be on a plane to CA. I think this is a lot of money to spend, and maybe the most foolish thing, but I am doing it just the same. I sure hope it is worth it. The two boys will stay with there Mom. I booked a car rental yesterday. I am nervous about driving in CA. It’s hard to believe that I use to drive all over the country. This ol’ gal sure ain’t what she use to be. I hope the seat I booked for the show is a good one, and I hope to be able to get at least one photo, though places like that usually don’t let you take pictures.

I booked a flight, booked the ticket, booked the hotel. Still need to book the shuttle from the airport to the hotel, and figure out how I will get from the hotel to the Fred Kavli Theater. It looks like I am finally going to get to see him live in just a few weeks! March 15th.

I had planned to go see him January 31, but radiation and some problems with my grandsons that live with me cancelled that out. Now there is just two dates left to see him this year and they are both sold out, and they are in Texas and Florida and I couldn’t afford the airfare for that. So I may have missed my opportunity all together. I am going to continue to watch and hope that something else comes along with an opportunity to see him!

Looking for pennies from Heaven so I can go and see him. It has been a dream of mine for more than two years and to think he will only be four hours from where I live. I think drive down the day of the show – weather permiting, probably stay the night and drive back the next day.
