build a castle

my husband and I bought a single wide mobile home so that I can tear it apart and “rebuild” it. I wouldn’t do this if I paid 100,000 for a new home!! I am an artist and love to work with clay, cement, and many other new and wonderful things I learn to use to build my “castle”. I will build a castle around my mobile home while remodeling the inside. So far I have replaced the walls of the middle bedroom combining the 2nd bathroom with it so that it is one big “bathroom/spa”. The walls are “code” now. The shower is all mosaic (almost done) – an underwater theme. The floors are all ceramic tile, some broken and pieced together some whole tile sections. I have removed part of the floor that will eventually be an indoor Koi pond with indoor “spray”. I have begun a large koi pond outside that will surround my “tower” that I have also begun to build. Now that it is winter…outside will have to wait…but the inside:)that is my playground for now! I will deveolp the photos I have taken of the process to download the next time I visit. I have done this work mostly by myself as my husband hates “building things”. I am 53!! NEVER judge a book by it’s cover and NEVER think your are too old to learn new tricks. It may take me the rest of my life but I will have my tunnels, secret passages, castle walls, heavy doors and cold drafty rooms!!
