Well I have decided that part time distance learning is NOT for me, and I have just firmly accepted an offer from my first choice University on their applied psych course – so in the Autumn I will be off to Uni full time at the ripe old age of 35! yikes!

Well, I have fallen so far behind in my courses due to a bout of illness and a general lack of motivation that I hit crisis point tonight and pretty much had to decide to either jack it all in or buckle down and get serious. I MUST persevere. For myself, for my family. I received my grades from my first two assignments, and they were both passes..but not brillant. A 75% and a 69%. My (modest) goal is to increase each score by at least 5 points on my next assignment. And this will be a struggle with the amount of catching up I need to do in the next week or so. On the bright side, I did receive a perfectly timed email from a fellow student (whom I don’t know, but who lives in the same town), and they are willing to help form a support system/study group with me and possibly one other local student…this is great news, and it is for my most difficult (and most important) course this year.
well, starting at the end of January, i have TWO 60 pt. Uni courses starting that i must study for and do well in if i ever hope to complete my psychology degree. i’ll have to balance it with homelife (including 2 young children) and working, so i need to get more organised and serious about this!!
