Its hard to write an entry about this...

when I know I have not been doing this. I see my son once a week. I need to spend more time with my boy.

Poor nutrition

I am starting to get very upset with the way my sons family members feed him. Unfortunately, the boy lives with his mother. I have no car, which makes it hard for me to see him as often as I would like. (car will be running by the end of dec.) It seems my son receives no form of discipline or good nutrition while he is away from me. I don’t know how to tell his mother without her getting mad at me. (I have already told them a number of times and I get mad with her just as easily) When I say poor nutrition, I don’t mean he’s underfed- no no no, its much worse than that. They overfeed the poor boy with junk food. I may be strict when it comes to nutrition, but seriously c’mon!

How do I make them understand what they are doing? Both his mother and grandmothers are overweight. (his momma wasn’t always so big) They make my job as a father much harder than it already is for me. Everything I try to accomplish while he is here with me is destroyed by the gap of time he is not with me.

Yesterday...

I felt like a good dad. First my son, his grandmother, and I all went to church. Then his mother (who I am no longer with) my son and I all went to a little boy’s birthday party. They had a bounce house! I can not resist getting inside of course…I became public enemy #1 to the five year olds. Especially the one wearing the WWE wrestling shirt. I got kicked in the head multiple times and someone kept trying to give me a wedgie! Played with my son and spent what I felt was some good quality time with him. =D
