Class was great  — 2 years ago

and I am really looking forward to the next 7 weeks. I like this instructor, always a plus.

Because this is a night class, everyone is my age or older and has a grown up job. Weird to be almost the youngest again, and not the one old enough to sign their permission slips.

One downside: not everyone has taken a second language before, ever, so we had to go through the 30 minutes of: what do you mean they say “A” like this? and “I have to learn a new alphabet”? Yes, you do. Think of all the times you use the alphabet to fill out forms, in person and over the phone. At least learn how to spell your name so you can be courteous to hotel workers.

over the holidays. I should get notice right away if there was space left but I won’t know until the office re-opens on the 3rd. I’m really excited since I have held off on doing this for so long…
