My first entry about being succulent and wild 3 years ago

Being invited into this group is timely for me..because I have been feeling anything but succulent or wild. I am interested in the book now..having read some of my team-mates posts and having visited SARK’s website. I read her eletter and have subscribed to it.

Recently I went through what seemed like a mountain of photographs (they were loose but in nice shoe boxes)..pictures of me and my ex-husband. I had forgotten how good looking we were together, how youthful and yeah, succulent. It has made me sad..I can’t shake those 32 + years…some days I just remember the good parts and wonder why the heck did I let that go and then other days I am more reasonable and I know the marriage was largely a sham. What I hope to learn about being succulent and wild is to look forward instead of back..to start creating new memories instead of dwelling in the old ones. But my ex husband is/was a very funny man. I laughed and laughed when I was with him. It was like living with a comedian…and even towards the end he made me laugh a lot. I miss that. I want to laugh like that again.
