learn to sew/make my own clothes

update:

i have completed my work with cutting out the patterns and material, now all that’s left to do is actually sew the pieces together. i’ve already learned a great deal just in learning to read the pattern and sizing the garment. i can’t sew it together till i go buy some thread that matches…i’m thinking i will go get it tomorrow.

i’m super serious about this one. i’m buying a sewing machine soon. my mom has always sewed and i have so many memories of hearing the machine whir and buzz in the kitchen all day long. she made all of our halloween costumes from scratch and a lot of our clothes as well. i’ve always wanted to try but have been unsuccessful so far. i think i now have the patience and determination to make this work. plus seeing all the super cute clothes i could make myself is a big incentive.
