by the time I told Ams i will be donating blood to red cross, I got cold feet already. It was as if I was already pale at the mere thought of blood being extracted from my body. Hey, blood is one of the things that really scares me. But then again, i’ve always wanted to donate ever since I turned 18.
Knowing that I’m low blooded, I still went through signing up. The questions were a tad too personal.. and a bit embarrassing (for me that is.)
Then the red cross lady pricked my finger, and got a few drops of my blood to find out what my blood type is, which is type B. THen they made me lie down as I was busying myself asking the lady questions whether it was painful or not.
When they tried inserting the needle right at my right arm, (the other side of the elbow, i dunno what that part is called) the lady said that my veins were moving, like she cant insert the needle into my veins… then there… they said it was because i was nervous. Then they resorted to doing it at my left arm,,, but before tha,t they checked my BP “again” and found out I was low blooded…
and that was how my first atttempt at donating blood failed.
hayyy.
