The most difficult.. 3 years ago

For me the most difficult stage in learning jazz piano is improvising. Since I’m classically trained, I am so used to reading music. My improvisation is limited to slight variation of the written one. I can’t improvise from scratch based on just chordal structure. I felt that my improvisation is really dull and ugly. I don’t know how improvisation ability can be trained.
