Maternal death 3 years ago

I almost died in 2005 when I delivered my baby. Doctor struggled to save me from the post-partum haemorrhage. I was lucky to be alive, but lost 3 liter of blood.

Just in case I die when delivering my next childs, I’d like to propose this as a will: After I die, I want my baby to be breastfed at least 6 month. The most desirable way is by hiring a wet-nurse or volunteer (because the composition of the milk will adjust to the baby when nursing directly). The next desirable way is to get donated breastmilk pumped by other mothers who has a baby of the same age.

Funeral and Burial Plan 3 years ago

I am drafting funeral and burial plan for my eventual death.

I don’t want tomb stone or any markings of my burial place. I want to be remembered by my writings, achievements, or things that I do. I don’t want to be remembered as dead body or tomb stone, which is visited once a year by my grandchildren. That’s why I don’t want to be buried in cemetery.

Therefore, I might opt for cremation, and get the ashes to be scattered. But then, cremation needs energy so it may not be an environmentally friendly choice.

Another interesting option is to have my dead body thrown into space, towards the sun. Either my body would be immortalized by the freezing temperature of the space, or it would be vaporized by the sun. But then this does not seem to be an environmentally friendly option. The launch to the space needs energy.

If there is any way that my dead body can be buried/banished and forgotten, I’d go for it. Perhaps just throw my dead body into the middle of unaccessible forest of Kalimantan from an airplane. Let nature takes its course.

Oh before I forget, I’d like to donate whatever organ of mine that is useful to people who need it.
