I haven’t had the chance to even attept this. The closest I come is trying a relaxation routine when I’m in bed trying to get to sleep -which is not meditation of course, but it does share some elements.
Something that I’ve started that at least gets me a little more motivated and closer to giving it a try is listening to a podcast I found: Zencast. There’s some good lectures there about meditation and a couple of tools like meditation ‘timers’. The thought of 10, 20 and 30 minutes of recorded silence sounds ridiculous right? It’s perfect. The silence is bracketed by some nice quiet music that fades away into the silence and then fades back in at the appropriate time. Just the thing for little naps I was taking during my breaks at work.
Speaking of naps… Currently the number one goal on here is Get enough Sleep. I am making little steps in this direction. But until I get to a point where I am not sleepy all the time I’m afraid that I would only fall asleep during my first attempts at meditating. : /
