Says the Wesleyan University Press:
“The poetry program receives over 1,000 unsolicited poetry manuscripts every year, and because of our finite resources we must reject many publishable projects.”
Says my cover-letter:
” . . . these poems are largely comic and satirical, obsessed with both High and Pop culture, drawing inspiration from (as well as directing attention to) such icons as Francesca Lia Block, Calvin & Hobbes, and the Spice Girls along with Mozart, Boucher, and the whole crew of Romantics.”
Whew!! Any guesses why I’m not published? . . .
