At least I haven’t gained the 20 pounds back. I’m yoyoing 5lbs. I was reading my old entries and my mood seems to bounce back and forth with my weight. I fall off the diet trail when it’s close to my period time or I’m sad about the separation between my boyfriend and I. Lately, I lost my IPOD for 2 weeks and haven’t exercised and totally made me depressed. But thank goodness I found it and am excited about getting back into my routine. I was exercising 4x/week doing turbo kick boxing, elliptical and running. Also lifting a few weights. I need to get used to exercising in the mornings since my work schedule will change come December.
I trying to go Vegetarian and substituting meat with tofu but it discovered that the tofu and its content of estrogen was giving me bad mood swings, especially depression. So I have to stay away from too much soy products.

I lost 20 pounds!
Getting a personal trainer really helped…
I still eat too much junk on the weekends…but I’m exercising a whole lot. 5x/week at least for 1 hour.

So much food and so little room around my waist band. I thought I had gained so much weight from eating too much, but my weight didn’t change. Halleluia! I’m glad, because my goal is also to loose about 12 more pounds by 12 weeks….Yipe! I hope to get at least close to my goal. Anyway…I’m board with my routine, so I got a trainer. That’s been pretty cool in terms of knowing what to do at the gym. But it’s expensive to continue.
Lately I’ve been plateauing in my weight loss, I think it’s because I’ve been depressed about not having my boyfriend around for the holidays…but now things are looking up.
Ever since I started writing what down what foods I eat and the feelings I had when I ate the unhealthy stuff…I’ve noticed that I overeat or eat unhealthy when I’m sad.

I lost about 15 pounds over 5 months, gained 5 more back in 2 weeks . I started to exercise and with 3 days I lost 3 pounds. Either, the same scale is broken, or my body started to burn fat at a faster rate since I got back on track. Isn’t that weird.

I lost about 10 pounds. Woohoo! But my weight loss has not shown enough for people to notice yet. People keep telling me, you’ve gained so much weight. And I respond with I just lost 10 pounds. My parents are the worst support system. I told my dad, “I lost 10 lbs.” He says, “Are you sure?” I told my mom, “I can run 5 miles now”. She says, “Is that all?” Yesterday, my mom suggested that I get liposuction. Ouch. I’m beginning to think that they are embarrassed by my weight. Is there a way to teach them to be more supportive than critical?

I lost 8 pounds since May 21st. I can’t believe it’s working. I haven’t lost weight ever in my life, and now I am finally doing it. You know what’s great. I can eat a moderate portion of junky food and still lose the weight because my metabolism is faster. I’m not the perfect size yet, but I have noticed that I can stretch my arms around my back without discomfort now. I still have about 30 pounds to go. We have to keep going.
Just to inspire everyone to keep working hard, here are the complications of obesity:
High blood pressure
Diabetes
High cholesterol
Coronary Heart disease (#1 killer of Americans)
Stroke (#1 cause of disability)
Osteoarthritis
Sleep Apnea
Cancer
Fatty liver disease
Gallbladder disease
Fertility and pregnancy problems
Physical discomfort
Social and emotional consequences

I went to college and gained 20lbs., then I went to grad school and gained another 20lbs. All that stressed increased my cortisol (hormone) and I gained weight fast. Not to mention all the midnight food runs to stay awake. This is not the way to go. On top of that my boyfriend also gained weight. We were in love but we pigged out together. I would be so tired all the time. Now whether I want to or not, I’ve been jogging at my park or at the beach for 1 month and I lost 4 pounds. Yipee! I’ve been eating smaller portions and healthier food. I have a huge box of clothes in the attic labeled, “Open when lose 20 pounds”. I can’t wait to open it up. I’m tired of buying clothes with larger sizes. Now, I have so much more energy and my mood is much more stable.
