Went to the Opera last night at the Harris Theater with my sister. It’s in beautiful Millenium Park….too bad it was chilly last night, would’ve been nice to head downtown early and walk around the park.

Went to a birthday party at the Real Tenochtitlan resataurant in Logan Square on saturday night. Yuuummmmie food, amazing guacamole, very pretty decor. Had a great time….food, drinks, laughter, friends. :)

My boyfriend’s friend’s girlfriend had a little birthday gathering at Kingston Mines blues club. Had a really fun time….great music, great atmosphere.

The boyfriend & I went to Singha in River North for our 2 year anniversary dinner Saturday. The food was good (i’ve honestly had better) but what i totally loved was the seating! :) They were kinda like benches…but actually little 70’s-ish pits that you stepped down into to sit on a cute little embroidered pad. Very nice.

Last Thursday the boyfriend and I headed to The Museum of Science & Industry to see Christmas Around the World.

It has been years since I’ve been there! They have changed so much. After checking out all 50 trees (my fave was the Japanese tree) we headed to the other corners of the museum. I was quite upset that the huge heart that you could walk through as you heard it beating from a loud speaker and the babies; from a teeny tiny fetus to full term in jars was missing. :( There are a few wings that are under construction so maybe these exhibits are being worked on.

All in all it was very beautiful and a lot of fun!

My boyfriend and I bought tickets to A Midsummer Nights Dream at the Chicago Shakespeare Theater on Navy Pier. It is quite a beautiful theater. And the play was outstanding! It was a version from India and Sri Lanka and was in seven south asian languages (and english of course) it was very entertaining and we both enjoyed it very much.

My boyfriend took me for Greek food on Tuesday night. We headed to Greek Town and picked Athena from the blocks of restaurants. :) We ordered a couple glasses of wine and some yummie food and enjoyed the evening. I definately want to go back in the summer and sit on the outdoor patio. :)

Went out Wednesday night with Miss MandyTLCandy for some appetizers & yuuummmie drinks at a new place in Oak Park, Maya Del Sol.
It is quite beautiful inside…nice, quiet, dark place good for a romantic dinner :)
I shall return (maybe with the man) to try some more food and get that other drink i was eyeballing!

My boyfriend took me out for dinner last night for some yummie thai food (one of my faves) at a new restaurant on the north side that a co-worker suggested. What we both ordered was very good and it’s a really nice quaint, quiet, dark and comfy place. Nice for a romantic date. :) We will indeed be back for more.

Well we finally made it! After one failed attempt to find it…but it wasn’t so easy the 2nd time around. The directions I had were horrible so we drove around for awhile and noticed that we were so close the first time we looked for it and gave up! Its not located in the greatest of areas and its set away in the woods, its pretty small which was a little disappointing, but its nice all the same. :) I bet its really pretty in the spring when everything is in bloom and my boyfriends thinks it’ll be pretty covered in snow.
