learn to sew and make clothes, curtains, pillows

So i was at my parents house on Monday night and my Mom says to me that she ordered a “present” for the both of us and it should be arriving sometime this week. Hmmmm….curious. So i show up over there on Tuesday night and lo and behold…she ordered a SEWING MACHINE!!! Its beautiful. I can’t wait to get my hands on it! So the first thing we’ve decided to sew is curtains for my kitchen!! So this weekend i’m heading over to Jo-Ann fabrics to get that lovely green print material. How exciting!! :)

I was at the fabric store yesterday with my Momma and came across a very pretty green and white print fabric that i will definately go back and get to make curtains for the kitchen!
I also came across a couple nice black & white prints that i would like to make pillows for the bedroom or a comforter cover.

I figure plain jane curtains and pillows shouldn’t be too hard to sew! My Momma does know the basics so she can show me the way! :)

I could’ve had my Halloween costume made already :(
Oh well, theres always next year…..i guess.

one of my secret projects involves sewing and my sister just bought a fabulous new sewing machine and has invited me over for what she calls a $5.00 lesson.
Yay! So off to the fabric store i go! And i’m looking for material to make a new kitchen curtain too….:)

My sister-in-law asked if i’d like to take a sewing class with her! Yay! So now to look for classes nearby…my sister suggested a place or two so we shall check it out.

use to sew a long time ago (she made a few Halloween costumes for me amongst other things) and i told her that i really want to learn…SO…we’re going to do it together…she’s basically remembering and relearning and i’m a newbie…we’re going to head out, look for an easy pattern and some fab fabric and start! I’m excited!
Was thinking of making something for my nieces…something small to start out with and anyway it comes out, i’m sure they’ll love it! (espcecially Carly)

I am going to make my costume for Halloween next year!
yay me!
