get more tattoos

My brother stopped by the other day and dropped off my “Birthday Tattoo” money!!! Woo-hooooo!!!!
So now to get things together (cuz i need to figure out some minor details) and head over to the shop!

OOooooooohhhh how exciting!!! :)

I was told recently by a close friend of mine that she thinks I’m too old to get more tattoos. Huh?! I’m only 30. I don’t think i’m too old and besides…i don’t get mine in obvious places where everyone can see them when they start getting all old and wrinkly with my skin. (besides the one i want on my wrist) But what is all that about???? Not that i’m going to let her comment stop me. :)

And I still haven’t gone for my star tat yet. Waiting on my brother and sister-in-law…guess i might have to bring it up again. ;)

my next tat is going to be 3 stars on my foot…and then after that one is the tattoo from the previous “get another tattoo” entry…my friendship one.
OOoh oooh! Can’t wait! MandyTLCandy and I should be all inked up by this time next week! How exciting!! :)

So my brother and sister-in-law gave me a choice in my birthay gift this year. Either a Gift Certificate for Sewing Lessons or a Gift Certificate for a tattoo…..

i chose the tattoo! So now its time to decide! How frickin exciting!!! :)

So i’ve had these friends…this group of awesome, interesting, loving, friends since 1993. We’ve been through it all together…and though we lost a few along the way…one to a marriage, kids, house in the burbs….one to a low lifestyle…one to marriage and a change in personality and mentality (the only way i could think to say it) and one (not so lost, but far away) to Texas. (we will get her back soon though! hopefully!) But through all the years we’ve remained close and loving and there for eachother (the last few of us) But we’ve always talked about getting matching tattoos. Something small and pretty…something to bind us together…each friend would get hers wherever she wanted on her body (my choice has changed a few times thru the years) But while at Lollapalooza…Mandy and I decided that we really must get this done! Why not? Life is too short!! So we’d like to have someone draw something small, simple, beautiful for us…something to symbolize our love for eachoher and the friendships we share….i can’t wait!
Now i’m on a search for the perfect artist!
And this will become my number 3….

i want something to kinda/sorta match my Celtic butterfly on my upper back (between my shoulder blades) and i want it on my lower back…to start in the middle, kinda low and swirl, twirl, wind, wrap it’s way up a little higher across one side and around the front of my hip. Wish i could draw….can’t, so i’ll have to find an artist to conjure up something.
