which I’d like to get on board with, as I agree it is important to support local businesses and the produce is definitely better. I used to shop at a farm shop when I had a partner with a car and it was just the best food ever.
Sadly I find that – as some have pointed out – it’s difficult to tell indie stores these days and even more difficult to shop there if you a) are on a limited budget and b) don’t have transport to get your stuff home. I usually do my grocery shopping online at one of the big stores and have them deliver as I live on my own with two big dogs (equals big bags of dog food !) and don’t drive, so getting the weekly shop home and actually getting there in the first place is sometimes a problem.
However – I think I can do this with abit of pre planning and thought. It might not be the next 14 days though but once things settle down with the house sale I will have more time to fye out and then actually go to shops that I can do this with. Thanks for inviting me !
