Collect the fifty American state quarters

A friend of mine just got back from the US and brought me 23 quarters. They were ALL duplicates except one ….... Guam! Woohoo! I was very pleased with my luck! I still need:

Mississippi
Ohio
Alabama
Minnesota

plus the remaining five 2009 issues. It’s always the last few that are so hard to come by … but you just never know!!

Yesterday I found Nebraska and my mother has Michigan in the mail on it’s way to me. I now only need the following four quarters:

Ohio
Mississippi
Alabama
Minnesota

My husband recently came back from New Orleans with seven new quarters to add to my collection – North Carolina,Tennessee, Indiana, Delaware, Pennsylvania,Georgia & Colorado. Just today I found Kentucky which brings my total up to 44 quarters. So close!!

Yes, it has been a while since my last entry but I have a few more state quarters to add to the list. Recently I’ve acquired Utah, Wyoming, Illinois, Michigan and today I found Main! I am now up to 37 quarters. Thirteen to go baby ….. woohoo! And then ….. there are the District of Columbia and Territories quarters to add to the collection. Ohhh I love this game!!!

.... I’m leaving today, I want to be a part of it, New York, New York! Yes folks, I have in my possesion, the New York quarter which brings me up to a total of 32 quarters. Anyone else still in the race of this quarter challenge?

It was beginning to look like things were picking up in the quarter department when I came across five quarters in the till …..UNTIL once looking through them I found that I had four of the five quarters already!!!! Doubles, duplicates, repeats. Damn it! Come on. COME ON PEOPLE!

Anywho, beggers can’t be choosers and thus I am still quite content with my Arkansas quarter find. My total is now up to 31. :)

Over the past couple of weeks I have been receiving one quarter here and one quarter there BUT they are doubles!!!!! Finally today I struck gold! I found the Navada quarter in the change at work. Woooohooo! That brings my total up to 30 quarters.

Yesterday I was given Massachusetts, Virginia and Iowa which now brings my total up to 29 state quarters!!! I have also now completed years 2000 and 2008. I’m on a roll :)

A fellow employee just got back from Las Vagas and she had a few treats for me! Adding to my collection: California, Oklahoma, Alaska, Hawaii and Misouri brings my total up to 26 quarters!!! I finally got a 2003 quarter – Misouri and I have all of the 2008 quarters now. The hunt continues.

Today I was given two more quarters: Idaho and Rhode Island bringing the total up to 21 quarters! A fellow co-worker and friend just left for Las Vagas so here’s hoping she comes back with an addition or two for the collection!!! Good luck to everyone who is still in the chase!
